Blue Ridge Montessori is Lynchburg's premier Nonprofit Montessori School. Founded in 1985.

Blue Ridge Montessori offers children a beautiful learning environment prepared in accordance with the Montessori principles of education. Our community of multi-aged children (6 weeks - 6th grade) engages in meaningful work with specially designed Montessori materials under the guidance of certified Montessori teachers. Through this process children gain a sense of purpose, independence and deep satisfaction.

Ms. Sharon is one of those people who always has a smile to share and a kind word for everyone she meets. Her warm, friendly nature shines through in the way she cares for her students, supports her teammates, welcomes families, and connects with people throughout our BRMS community.

We are so grateful for the kindness, positivity, and genuine care she brings to Evergreen and to our school each day.

What’s inside an apple? 🍎🔍

Using a labeled diagram as a guide, this Primary student is constructing an apple model piece by piece—connecting vocabulary and scientific concepts with something they can see, touch, and create.

🎉 Staff Spotlight: Ms. Jill! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating one of our beloved BRMS substitutes—and someone who hardly feels like a “sub” at all! 💙

Ms. Jill has been part of our community for years, and in that time she has become a familiar, trusted, and very loved face throughout our entire school. She can step into just about any classroom and be greeted by students who already know her, love her, and are excited to see her!

Having someone we can count on to jump in wherever she’s needed—and who already knows our children and our community so well—is truly invaluable. We are incredibly grateful for the warmth, flexibility, and care Ms. Jill has given BRMS over the years.

🎉 Staff Spotlight: Ms. Natalie! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Ms. Natalie, one of our wonderful Assistant Guides in Weeping Willow! 💛

There is no question how much Ms. Natalie loves our littlest learners. She pours so much care into the babies each day—whether she’s offering a comforting cuddle, celebrating a new milestone, or simply making sure each child feels safe, loved, and cared for.

Ms. Natalie is also an incredibly hard worker who is always ready to jump in, lend a hand, and do whatever is needed to support her classroom and her team. We are so grateful for the love, dedication, and energy she brings to BRMS each day!
