Old City Cemetery is Seeking a Part Time Visitor Services Assistant

OCC seeks a Visitor Services Assistant, for a part-time position, Sundays only, 1pm-5pm, March – mid-December. Occasional work outside those hours. Qualifications: enjoys talking with visitors about Lynchburg history, able to work independently, self-motivated, organized, accurate, strong computer skills (PC computers, Microsoft Word & Excel). Will serve as staff member on duty, greeting visitors, handling gift shop sales and related business, answer genealogical questions, and assist with other office duties. Knowledge of Lynchburg history is preferred, with some college history studies or a college degree. Pay range: $10-$12/hour based upon experience.

Historic Old City Cemetery Museums & Arboretum management seeks an Administrative Manager, for a full-time position, Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-5pm, with occasional work outside these hours.
Skills: self-motivated, organized, efficient, attention to detail, strong computer skills (PC computers, Microsoft Word & Excel, experience with mail-merge and databases).
Manage all business aspects of office (bill paying, record keeping, filing system) and assist the Executive Director with confidential budget, financial matters & development matters, reports, mass mailings, gift recording & acknowledgment. Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable talking with families scheduling funerals & weddings.
Experience with QuickBooks, Basic Funder preferred. Knowledge and interest in Lynchburg history is helpful. Pay range: $14-$16/hour based on experience. College degree preferred. Comprehensive benefits package.
