My vision is to establish a pediatric clinic or integrated medical wing within Teachable Moments Preschool, where children have direct access to quality healthcare during their most critical developmental years.

I want to remove barriers for families, support early intervention, and redefine what it means to truly care for children…academically, physically, and emotionally all in one place.

Can I pull this off? I’ll try.

Today was filled with laughter, little surprises, and BIG smiles as our friends enjoyed a special visit from the Easter Bunny! 🐰✨ From egg hunts to sweet hugs, moments like these remind us that childhood is meant to be magical, joyful, and full of wonder.

With nearly 20 years in the field of education (including over 7 years in early childhood), Kayla has developed a deep passion for working with young minds and shaping little hearts.

She spent more than a decade serving military families through on-base childcare programs, supporting school-age children and building meaningful relationships with families during both everyday moments and challenging seasons.

While working full-time, Kayla earned her Associate’s Degree in Education from Hopkinsville Community College and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University.

After returning to Virginia, she discovered her love for early childhood education and preschool. She served as a Lead Pre-K Teacher at The Goddard School before stepping into a Curriculum Director role, where she supported teachers and helped implement engaging, high-quality learning experiences for children.

In 2019, Kayla relocated to Lynchburg to be closer to family and continued her work as a Lead Preschool Teacher at Elizabeth’s Early Learning Center, where she spent four years growing her leadership, knowledge, and impact in the classroom.

Today, Kayla brings all of that experience, heart, and leadership into her role at Teachable Moments Preschool — where she is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for every child and family she serves.

She’s excited to be stepping into the role of Preschool Director, effective July 13, 2026.
