Here's an update from our RESET Challenger Melinda, as she begins week 2! She is showing off her successes during the first week (265 minutes, WooHoo!), and how she recorded her daily movement onto her RESET Calendar.

"The RESET Challenge is pretty cool! I achieved my 5 days of exercise and even tried something new, Aqua Groove Deep! This week's goal is to do a good blend of cardio and weights. My healthy eating goal is to fit in more whole grains. I found an app that I am eager to use, as well."

We say, "GO Melinda! Keep up the great work!!"

Ever wonder if you’d like a Barre or Pilates class? Not sure if you’d know what to do if you showed up for one? We’ve got a way for you to find out!

Join us for Kickstart, held each Monday at 10 am at the Downtown Family Center! Coach Andrea and I will introduce a different type of class each week, emphasizing how to workout in a way that is just right for YOU. We’ll give lots of options for moves, and have lots of fun together!

Space is limited, so be sure to sign up with the app or call the Y (434.847.5597). We would LOVE to have you join us for these awesome and doable workouts!

Meet Lisa! Lisa is a cancer survivor and an alumni of our LiveSTRONG at the YMCA program, and she is ready for a RESET! She says:

"I am ready for a reset from winter, and a reset from the long exhaustion of the Covid Pandemic (and politics)! In addition to the usual doldrums of winter and a few extra pounds, I want a new chapter in my life...and I am ready to RESET to start it!
