Howdy Partners! We are celebrating the "Best in Town" during Teacher Appreciation Week, western style. The teachers all enjoyed a BBQ lunch catered by Coach Que BBQ and today was a Dirty Soda Saloon by Soda-licious (a sweet Preschool family). They are hosting a Pop-Up Event to celebrate Mother's Day, details in the last picture if you want to show them some support.

Teacher Spotlight! Mary has been a teacher with our Toddler Age groups here with the Child Development Center since 2019. Her gifting is encouraging independence while allowing creativity and individuality.

Families with children of ALL ages are invited to attend this special Kindergarten Q & A event. This year we will have representatives from local public and private schools available to talk about what their enrollment process looks like as well as what to expect when your child enters kindergarten. Timberlake staff will also be available to answer questions about our pre-k classes, upcoming enrollment season, and our before and after school program. It's never too soon to learn more!

Additionally, if you're considering when to send your child to kindergarten based on their age or readiness, this meeting will provide answers and feedback for that also. Kindergarten has changed a lot over the years and enrollment processes differ by school and county so we hope this is helpful to our Timberlake families.

We would love for you to join us from 6:00-7:00pm on February 19th here at Timberlake in The Mill.

*We will also be offering childcare for ages 2 and up in the Family Life Center during this event. Children younger than 2 are welcome to stay with their parent(s) during the meeting. Our CDC staff enjoyed our Christmas party filled with food catered by Coach Que BBQ, tacky Christmas sweaters, games, and our first Annual Bake Off. It is such a blessing to have an opportunity to gather together and share joy with one another during this glorious season.

This month, we are shining a spotlight on Mrs. Julie. She joined the CDC at Timberlake in 2021 and brings over 20 years of experience in working with children in various roles. Our infant and toddler families, as well as their children, are the primary beneficiaries of her kindness and dedication. She truly is a delight and an inspiration!

I can thank God for everything! In November, we focused on all the things we can be thankful for. In early November, our preschoolers participated in the OWLS(Senior Ministry) Veterans Day celebration. Some of our kids had a Veteran join them for this event, and we are so thankful we live in a country where we can learn about Jesus in school, and worship freely. Our little ones walked through waving their flags while we all joined for the Pledge of Allegiance and heard a song sung by our 4-year-olds. Our School Age kids enjoyed a fieldtrip to Aqua Zone during a school closure day where we offer all day "Fun Days" care. Fall was exciting....next up winter❄️⛄️
