Here is the message from LAOH Division 14 President, Linda Dascher, on the passing yesterday of Carol McTigue.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was informed that one of our members, Carol McTigue, has passed away. Carol has been a member of Division 14 since 1995 and was a past president of NY State LAOH. Carol's wake will be held at Flinch & Bruns in Lynbrook on Monday, June 22nd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, June 23 at 9:45 am at Our Lady of Peace Church.

Mary Bradley will reach out to Carol's son about having the Hibernian Service (Prayers) at the wake. I will email you tomorrow regarding a time.

Please keep Carol and her family in your prayers. Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace.

In Our Motto,

Linda

Brothers,
In last month's newsletter we were celebrating our Man of the Year, Billy Parnell. This month we
mourn his sudden passing. Yet, I am grateful he knew that we valued him and his membership
in the AOH and the Glor Na nGael Pipe Band. Billy and his bass drum were frequently the
center of many group pictures. He will be greatly missed and well-remembered. Have you
expressed that you care to those whom you value?
We still look forward to our upcoming activities. Please attend our Division 14 meeting on
Thursday, June 11 to help plan our annual Division 14 picnic on Sunday, July 26. We, like the
rest of the USA will also celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. I look
forward to seeing many of you there.
Recruitment and retention are vital to our organization. If we are not growing, we are dying.
During our Summer of celebrations, if you should meet someone who is qualified, ask them to
become a member and brother. Please go to aoh.com
https://aoh.com/gobansaer/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/2024-Form-41-Application-for-
Membership-REV-3.pdf
Please print a form and give it to a worthy candidate. Remember they must be of Irish decent
and Catholic. Please bring that form and the candidate to our next meeting. Please let the
Executive Board know about that candidate prior to the meeting.
Fraternally yours,
Jim Henry-President

"If being a faithful Catholic makes a player unsuitable for public promotion, every Catholic employee in America should be alarmed."
