Messy Nest is taking a break due to the birth of baby Colin! We hope to return with classes Summer 2019! Thank you for your interest and support!
Kids art classes that promise to be fun, age appropriate, focused on exploration rather than a final product and of course...Messy!
We are a small kids art studio specializing in Parent & Me and Young Artist classes to help nurture and grow a love of art in all young children. We create process art and allow our students to experiment, touch, feel and play with art materials, concepts and techniques. Our teachers connect art to other subject areas to draw students in, and show them how fun art can be!

Art met science in our last Thursday class! We did color experiments and made glitter slime!! We’re so sad to end this term with these awesome mini-artists!! 😭❤️🎨

❤️science! We did some fun experiments with color and different materials in our Tuesday class, to see how they reacted to each other. It was really cool to see right before our very eyes!
What a cool experiment!!

The STEAM class was so much fun!! We truly can’t wait to do another class like this one! The most incredible thing to watch was each child’s interpretation of the project and what they would conjure up and create with the materials given. Absolutely incredible!
What we did:
1. The kids were given a peg board, pegs and colorful rubber bands.
2. After viewing Vincent Van Gogh’s, “The Starry Night,” everyone was given a wide variety of materials in the same color scheme of the painting. They were then challenged to try and recreate the painting. I️ loved seeing their excitement when they would recreate certain parts of the painting, but my favorite was hearing them name the painting themselves before knowing its actual title. ❤️
3. 🙌🏼RUBE GOLDBERGS!!! If you don’t know him, google him or find some on YouTube. We used dominos, toy train sets and marble runs to try and creat our own Rube Goldbergs.
