A beautiful start to the school year at Our Lady of Peace!
Today, our faculty had the honor of hosting the school year’s first Friday Mass. It was a meaningful way for our faith community to come together and start the year on a positive note.
Reflecting on the reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, which calls us to be “servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God,” Fr. Steven shared an inspiring message. He reminded us that this year, we are called to serve each other as Jesus did, and to approach each day with trustworthy hearts.
Fr. Steven gave a special blessing for the students’ backpacks. We are grateful to our National Junior Honor Society members for handing out small crosses to our students. The students will wear these crosses on their backpacks all year as a daily reminder of Christ’s love and our call to serve.
Thank you to Fr. Steven, our faculty, NJHS, and all the students who helped make today’s Mass special. We look forward to a year filled with blessings and service. !

Unstoppable Together! Back at OLP!
There’s something special about the first day back to school. Father Steve and our amazing faculty and staff were out early, greeting everyone with big smiles and a warm welcome.
We want to give a BIG ! welcome to Fr. Steven, all our new students, families, faculty, and staff joining us this year. We’re so happy you’re part of the OLP family! Today was filled with excitement as everyone reconnected with old friends and met new ones. We’re grateful for our OLP school community and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Join us for Mass on Friday, September 11th at 5 pm as we remember the victims of September 11, 2001 on the 25th anniversary of the attacks.

After the Mass, we will attend the Lynbrook Village Hall's 9/11 memorial ceremony.

Day 5 is in the books, and that’s a wrap on an amazing week! 🏆🌧️
A little rain couldn’t slow us down today! Right after Mass, we moved inside to the gym and finished the week strong with high energy agility drills and fun games.
A massive thank you to Fr. Steven for leading us through a fantastic week of faith, movement, and community. An extra special shoutout to our awesome volunteer coaches, Vincent and Chris, for giving their time, energy, and leadership to work out with our kids every day, your impact was huge! 💙🤍
Thank you to all of our 4th through 8th graders who showed up, worked hard, and brought the energy every single day. Rest up those legs and enjoy a well-deserved weekend! 🏃🏻‍♀️🙏🏻✝️💪🏻

Day 4 is in the books! Peace Pace and Power, obstacle course day!🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🙏🏻💙🤍✝️
We put our fine and gross motor skills to the test today, navigating an obstacle course that challenged our speed, balance, and precision. Watching these kids push through, and cheer each other on was AWESOME!!
A huge thank you to Fr. Steven and all of our incredible volunteer coaches for bringing the energy, setting up the courses, and leading our students today. Great coaches make all the difference!
Hard to believe tomorrow is our final day of Peace, Pace and Power. Come finish strong with us as we celebrate one last morning of faith and fitness. We’ll start with Mass, followed by our final workout!!

What a wonderful night under the stars! 🌅✨🙏🏻💙🤍✝️
Last night, our parish and school community gathered for an unforgettable outdoor Holy Hour led by Fr. Steve. It was incredible to see the convent lawn filled on such a beautiful late summer evening. Sr. Barbara, Deacon Kevin, OLP School families & students, alumni, our amazing OLP faculty and staff, and so many parishioners!
A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Steve for leading us in prayer and Eucharistic Adoration and to all the incredible volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make this evening so peaceful and seamless. There truly was no better way to wrap up the summer season together.
We are so grateful for our OLP community and can’t wait for the next one! 🙏🏻💙🤍✝️

Day 2 is in the books! ⚡️🏃‍♂️

We brought the speed and footwork today with some awesome sprinting and agility drills with Fr. Steven! Huge thanks to OLP alum Vincent and Chris, a junior at Chaminade, for coming out and helping coach our students this morning! Great mentors make all the difference!

Join us for Mass tomorrow at 9:00 AM, and then we are right back at it again for our workout! Rest up those legs, drink plenty of water, and get ready to nourish both body and spirit tomorrow morning.
