The Kidtunes Guitar Program at
The Joan Harris Conservatory. The program is for children as young as age 5 up to teenagers. Students are put into classes with similarly aged children. We will be working in groups of 2-4 students where the kids will be learning to read music as well as playing ensemble pieces. Students learn traditional finger style pieces as well as contemporary songs. Private lessons for all ages including adults are also available.

What a nice article about appreciating music as a non-music major! How many of your kids are going to major in music? 5%? 10%? But how many can still enjoy music as part of their adult lives? I always tell my kids that I understand that they may not choose music as a profession like I did, but that doesn't mean they can't learn to understand and appreciate music as a consumer!
