St. Mary School in Luxemburg offers a Catholic Education to all students in grades 3K - 6, including Mary School is located in Luxemburg, WI. The educators at St.

Mary School is on it's sixth year of teaching four-year-old-kindergarten, which meets all day for five days a week. In addition to the 4K program, St. Mary started a 3K program that affords many options for parents. There are also classes for students through sixth grade. Students in first through sixth grade meet for mass or pray the rosary daily at 8am before their day begins. Four-year-old-kindergarten meets for mass one time a month and kindergartners meet for mass two times a month. Mary School are very dedicated to helping students work to their full potential, grow in their faith, and give them opportunities for success. We have officially wrapped up another wonderful school year!
These last few days held our Talent Show, 6th Grade Graduation, Kindergarten Graduation, Ice cream, and Rural Safety Day for 3rd Grade.

Last week our ABC Countdown included Sunglasses, Toys, USA, Vacation Day, and Wearing something wacky or your favorite clothes.
On Monday our older students took a field trip to Madison to tour the capitol, Camp Randall, and visit the zoo.
On Wednesday we had our Alumni Walk congratulating the seniors that once were students here.
Thursday our 4K had their Promotion ceremony showing off their learning this year.
On Friday our younger students received a visit from the Wildlife Sanctuary while our older students went and shot archery.
We also had a pizza party on Friday thanks to the Be A Friend Project. They created a scorecard full of kind acts that helped to steer our Student Council activities this year. Each kind act awarded us a certain amount of points and because we had so many points, we got a pizza party along with recognition and some wonderful goodies for our students. We are very proud of our kindness efforts and look forward to continuing our work next year.

Last week our ABC Countdown brought new names, outside time/opposite day, parachute fun, Queen day, and Rock Out day.
Our 4K-2nd grade had a great morning Thursday at the Storybook Walk at Bruemmer Park.
Monday our students created flower wreaths with their buddies that we passed out to houses in the neighborhood on Wednesday thanks to a service project grant. Realize The Dream
Friday students got to enjoy ice cream from the Red Barn. Yummy!

May is full of busy days as the year end creeps closer and closer!
Our ABC Countdown included Inside out clothes, Jammies, Kings, Laughter, and Movies.
We had 2 new principals on Wednesday. The students loved that these student principals made it a PJ Day and treated the school to ice cream.
Thursday a few students got to arrive at school in a firetruck.
Thursday was our Yogurt with You appreciation event for our families. We had 120 guests in attendance. We were so busy that we didn't even get any pictures!
Friday our 4th graders were off on their field trip exploring some popular Wisconsin sites.

It's crazy to think that we are in May already!
Last week our ABC Countdown brought dancing, exercising/experimenting, finger painting, games, and hats.
Our 4K-1st grade got to enjoy a great Pete the Cat musical at the Southern Door Auditorium.
Our 3K and Mrs. Pelnar's 4K had a special visit from Rhodie, the Rockers mascot for joining their reading program.
Our 6th graders had a wonderful time at Camp.
We wrapped up our Cool Choices game and learned a lot about ways to keep our Earth healthy. Congratulations to Mrs. Pelnar's 4K and 1st grade on tieing for 1st place, 2nd grade for taking 2nd place, and Kindergarten for taking 3rd place! We were informed that of all the schools playing the game in a classroom competition, our school completed the most actions in the game. We're very proud of our students and staff for taking on this great initiative.
If you see any of our teachers this week wish them a Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so blessed!

Wednesday in celebration of Earth Day we went around the area and cleaned up garbage. In the afternoon we got together and created art reusing recycled material.
Wednesday began our ABC Countdown for our younger students. A for bring a stuffed Animal, B for Bubbles, and C for Color Day.
Congratulations again to Mrs. Simonar who was honored as a Teacher of Distinction at the Golden Apple Award Ceremony on Wednesday.
We wrapped up week 3 of the Cool Choices game and we ended the week with a tie between 1st grade and Mrs. Pelnar's 4K.
Last week was Every Kid Healthy Week. We celebrated with Mindful Monday (emotion brain break), Tasty Tuesday (graham cracker, peanut butter, banana snack), Wellness Wednesday (fitness dice), Thoughtful Thursday (positive affirmations), and Family Friday (sharing resources to be active and healthy at home). Action for Healthy Kids
Friday we held our April All School Mass and Celebration.

While 4K was learning about farms last week our 3K was learning about plants.
Congratulations to 1st Grade who has taken the traveling trophy for this week in the Cool Choices Game!

Thank you so much to Wilson's Wish for coming to talk with our 4K students about life on a farm, sharing what's special about their animals, and for letting our students give a few of their animals some extra love (and snacks)! God bless the amazing work that Tonya and Dave do with their organization and these special animals.
