⚠️ATTENTION ALL.... WE HAVE A CHANGE IN PLANS FOR THIS WEEK/WEEKEND!!⚠️ Some flying creatures have made an appearance at the theatre. For the safety of our patrons and guests... and especially the 50+ kids at theatre camp this week, we have made the following changes:

🎭Missoula Children's Theatre performances- Friday, August 14 are now located at St. Catherine's Catholic Church Gymnasium. Note: All purchased tickets will be honored- just no reserved seating. You can still purchase online at www.palacetheatre.us or at the Palace Box Office (507-283-4339). Tickets will also be available at the door.

❌This weekend's movie ("The Odyssey") is cancelled.

🦇Bat mitigation is scheduled next week (unable to come any sooner), so stay tuned for updates.

📚❤️ Calling All Young Book Lovers! ❤️📚

Give your child one more fun summer adventure before the new school year begins! Mrs. Peyten Elbers is offering a fun, four-day Book Club for students who completed 2nd or 3rd grade during the 2025-26 school year.

Through engaging stories, hands-on activities, and great discussions, students will sharpen their literacy skills, reconnect with learning - all while giving their literacy skills a boost before heading into the new school year. Each child will enjoy a daily snack and book is provided!

📅 August 17–20 (Monday–Thursday)

📖 Grade 2 (Class ): 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

☀️ Track Meet Rescheduled Due to Forecasted Heat ☀️

Due to the anticipated high temperatures on Monday, July 13, we have made the decision to postpone the Youth Track & Field Meet.

📅 New Date: Monday, July 27
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: Luverne HS Track

📧 Already registered? Please check your email for information on your options if you're unable to attend on the new date.

🏃‍♀️ Youth Track & Field Meet
Children age 4 through students who completed 6th grade are invited to enjoy an evening of running, jumping, and throwing! Events include the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m races, 400m relay, long jump, and softball throw.

📌 Reminder: The Community Education Office is closed July 10–24. If you have questions about the Track Meet, please email [email protected], Dana will respond when she is able.

📧 If you're attending a Community Ed class or camp during this time (especially outdoor activities), please watch your email for any weather-related updates directly from your instructor.

🤸‍♀️ Another Chance for Preschool Gymnastics! 🤸

Due to the high interest in our June Preschool Gymnastics camps, our gymnastics instructors are offering one more opportunity for your little one to join the fun this summer!

This 4-day camp is a great way for preschoolers to build coordination, balance, confidence, and have lots of fun!

📅 August 3–6
🕘 9:00–9:45 AM
📍 North Small Gym
👧 For children age 4 by August 3 through Kindergarten (use the grade your child attended during the 2025–26 school year)
💲 $40

✨ Class size is limited, and registrations are accepted with payment only. During class, only registered participants will be allowed in the gym.

Please have your child wear comfortable clothing and pull long hair back before class.

📬 Community Education Office Reminder: Our office will be closed July 10–24 and will reopen Monday, July 27. Registration forms and payment may be placed in the drop box located near the Community Education Office entrance while the office is closed.

Looking for a sweet night out? Join us for an evening of creativity, laughter, and delicious fun as you decorate an adorable "Oh Honey" themed cookie set!
Instructor Janet Marshall, owner of Yellow Rose Cookie Shoppe, will guide you step-by-step as you create six "bear-y" cute sugar cookies featuring bees, honey, bears, hives, and flowers. 🧸🍪
This class is perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to learn the basics of sugar cookie decorating. You'll practice piping with royal icing, learn decorating tips and techniques, and discover the fundamentals of working with cookie dough and icing.
✨ No experience necessary!
🍪 All supplies are provided, including cookies, icing, decorating tools, and a container to take your beautiful creations home.
