Congrats to St. John's own Bill Weber!

Well deserved!

On October 2, 2026, I was happy to have my family with me as I was inducted into the Luverne High School Alumni Hall of Fame. I thank the committee members for their selection of me as well as my hometown community for the support they have always exhibited. It has been an honor to serve them.

Every Wednesday at lunchtime, join your brothers and sisters in Christ by pausing to pray the Litany. The Litany is an ancient order of prayer that Christians have used for hundreds of years. It is a prayer that is relevant every day of our lives, in times of hope, fear, joy and grief.

Pray the Litany:

Thank you to Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, DCE Mrs. Jessica Blocker, and all the saints at St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne, MN for hosting the MN South Board of Directors meeting this week. It was wonderful to see how the Lord is working in the Southwest area of our district. We also thank Circuit Visitor Rev. Shawn Ethridge for his presentation on the Circuit and how the churches are working together to share the message of the Gospel.

Our high school youth have elected their officers for the 2026-2027 year! We could have asked them what their favorite things are, but instead we asked Canva's magic media to tell us what they do in their free time...

We are excited to start another St. John school year! Yesterday we had a kickoff event with Rally Sundaes, class pictures, and fuzzy giveaways for our student groups.

Thank you to LCMS missionaries to the Dominican Republic, the Rev. Chris Amen and his family, for visiting St. John today. Pastor Amen preached and shared the great work the LCMS is doing overseas to spread the Gospel, plant Lutheran churches, and show mercy.
