Thank you to LCMS missionaries to the Dominican Republic, the Rev. Chris Amen and his family, for visiting St. John today. Pastor Amen preached and shared the great work the LCMS is doing overseas to spread the Gospel, plant Lutheran churches, and show mercy.

Tabitha’s Trove Soft Opening
Join us Wednesday, August 5, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. for the soft opening of Tabitha’s Trove, a children’s clothing ministry of St. John Lutheran Church.
Tabitha’s Trove provides free children’s clothing to families in Luverne, Rock County, and nearby communities.
Parents are invited to come browse and find clothing for their children at no cost.

Please enter through the Little Lambs entrance off East Adams Avenue.

Looking back on a wonderful week at Illumination Station Vacation Bible School!

What a great second half of Illumination Station VBS! We can't believe it's already over. It was so much fun to partner with Zion Lutheran of Hardwick this year, and we want to give a tremendous thank you to all of our hard-working volunteers and wonderful participants. Until next year, keep shining for Jesus!

Night two of VBS was bright and sunny in all the best ways! We learned about John baptizing Jesus, how cyanotype paper works and reacts to light and water, and that DCE Jess can fit almost an entire snack bag of goldfish crackers in her mouth. We also got to surprise Dawn for her birthday! We're restocked on supplies and ready for Wednesday.

It was a HOT but oh-so-fun first night at Illumination Station VBS! The kids and volunteers shone brightly with excitement as they learned that Jesus is God's promised Son. We're thankful it's a few degrees cooler as we head into night two!
