We accept students of all ages and levels and we offer a wide range of classes that include: private lessons (one on one with teacher), group instrument lessons, home school classes for music theory and history, workshops, ja
m rooms for bands and music oriented field trips. Private music lessons include: piano, guitar, voice, violin and drums. These lessons are tailored for student’s specific needs. Our international faculty provides a professional and practical academic approach to music instruction. Multilevel structure of lessons paired with music theory and routine practice will help the student achieve an effective learning experience. Our group guitar lessons area great introduction to private classes. This is a great option for beginner guitar players. Casual atmosphere of group lessons yet complex (condense) curriculum brings unique experience of learning, socializing and fun. 12 week program based on 1 hour weekly classes ends with final show of all students participated in program. Small home school classes consist of group classes – up to 7 children in a true classroom surrounding where students learn different aspects of music – music theory, music notation and music history. Through hands on activities, listening, watching and analyzing the subject of music will make it easy for the student to understand. We also provide workshops. These are special events where different students using the same instrument get together and work on improving their skills and knowledge. With teacher supervision students present their best performances and evaluate it. The main purpose of these workshops is to develop a students’ critical thinking and self-esteem. Jam sessions and rock bands are where youth musicians experience the casual groove of playing ensembles. Jam sessions are easy going open mic style gathering without pressure of every day lesson. Open to all music students to play together and experiment with music and improvisation. The rock band program involves 4-6 different youth players working on contemporary repertoire with the main goal to perform live. Starts in January – This 16 week program is focused on working together in the group, synchronization and enjoyment of being in the band. Music camps – Winter camp and summer camp. During the winter break regular lessons are put on hold but Claudia’s School of Music organizes a 1 day winter camp for elementary school grade children. Introducing singing, playing, listing to Christmas music from all over the world. This is a great time for kids while parents do their last minute shopping. Summer camp – During months of June and July Claudia’s School of Music prepares a unique experience for summer music fun. Weekly camps based on different topics feature daily activities, crafts, playing on different instruments, learning about famous composers and songs. Each am end with summary of the week and group performance. Claudia’s School of Music also organizes special field trips to music festivals, performances and events.
