Dear Devoted Twinkle Tots Parents,
I am writing to formally provide notice of the permanent closure of Twinkle Tots Childcare, effective Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12:00 noon.
During this final operating period, you are not required to provide a two-week notice should you choose to withdraw your child(ren) from care before the closing date.
As many of you know, this home has been in my family for over 80 years, and it is my heartfelt intention that it continues to be a place of love, legacy, and meaning for generations of the Vickers family to come. I have cherished the opportunity to operate a small, thriving childcare program here in the Town of Luther. However, I have recently been presented with an exciting opportunity to expand my work as a 7th grade math and science teacher while continuing my second year as a doctoral student in Educational Leadership at Southern Nazarene University.
This is not goodbye, it is more of a “see you later.” I plan to reestablish Twinkle Tots alongside one of my doctoral cohort colleagues as business partners and reopen as a large childcare center in the East Edmond area in 2026. I look forward to continuing the mission of nurturing young minds in an even greater capacity.
You may also notice some renovations happening at our 407 S. Ash Street home. It brings me joy to know that I was able to breathe life into a space that holds fond memories from my childhood, visiting my great-grandparents and grandmother before they became angels above.
To each of you, thank you. You have been among the most supportive and kind-hearted parents I’ve had the honor of working with in my seven-plus years of operating Twinkle Tots Childcare. I wish you and your families all the best, and I’m sure we’ll cross paths again soon.
