Today we planted one of our outfield locations, where experimental variety planting is in full swing using traditional planting methods.

This is the first time these experimental varieties are being planted in a commercial field for testing, giving researchers a chance to see how they perform under real Louisiana growing conditions.

It’s all part of finding the next great sugarcane variety for Louisiana growers!

Today we were out in the field watching harvest at Agroquatro-S Farms in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. It’s been incredible getting to see how sugarcane is grown and harvested on the other side of the world and bringing back ideas we can learn from in Louisiana. 🇧🇷🌱
