Another vaccine clinic for the books. 😃 🐶 🐱 💉

With the help of volunteers from Bridge to Bridge, the Lutcher Library, and our amazing SVM student Sarah Lackey, we vaccinated a total of 114 pets (40 cats & 74 dogs) this morning with a total number of 219 vaccines.

Paula and her team from Companion Animal Alliance & Pets for Life Baton Rouge have made this event possible. We are happy to be able to help the community and partner up with these incredible organizations.
Next to our amazing volunteers today, we also had LSU students from LSU’s insights program help us today.

We had an amazing time at Touch a Truck a couple weeks ago. Bringing veterinary medicine closer to the community. Kiro, Ryder, and Lila helped us teach kids how to safely interact with animals, read their body language, and gentle petting techniques. Huge thanks to Junior League of Baton Rouge for hosting this fantastic event.

We had so much fun at Hot Diggity Dog!
A shout out to our volunteers/students from SABV for running the clinic and Abby (vet tech & student) for making this a smooth sailing.
And to the East Iberville Library for hosting this event and asking us to be part of it.

Wednesdays and Thursdays we help Companion Animal Alliance with SVM students that are on externship.
CAA is an amazing experience for students.
Students get to have so much hands on experience with animals and have the chance to do surgeries (spays/neuters) on our canine and feline friends.

On March 13, the Petco Love/LSU Vet Med Community Outreach team visited Wildwood Elementary in Baton Rouge. Dr. Miller talked about veterinary medicine, what veterinarians and veterinary technicians do, and animal cruelty. Jacqueline talked about dog training, animal behavior, and how to approach dogs.
