The SJPRTA scholarship winner was chosen this past week. The winner is Skyler Vicknair from Lucher High School. Skyler is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education.

School Board employees who retired this year will be recognized at the September meeting.

Great attendance! So many to thank!

Thank you to American Legion Post 171 for Presentation of Colors.

Thank you to Dr. Karen Poirrier, St. James Parish RTA member who sang the National Anthem and those who accompanied her. I apologize for not getting a picture. It was beautiful!!!

Thank you to Sheriff Claude Louis, Jr., for giving the invocation to start the meeting. Thank you to Parish President Pete Dufresne and Superintendent Chris Kimball for greeting the retirees.

Thank you to Deacon Alfred for all you did to help.

Thanks to all the SJPRTA members who donated door prizes, attended the meeting , who set up and who cleaned up!

A very special thank you to the following that supported the St. James Parish Retired Teachers in hosting the district meeting……. CF INDUSTRIES, OXYCHEM, KOCH METHANOL, MOSAIC, NUCOR STEEL, HUMANA, MATHERNE’S MARKET, TASTY DONUTS. and LT. GOVERNOR BILLY NUNGESSER! The retirees from Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. John, Terrebonne and of course, St. James appreciate and loved the “goodies” you donated! Again, thank you to the businesses and industries that supported us!
