🎉 Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Teacher Mini Grant recipients!

The St. James Parish Excellence in Education Foundation has awarded 22 Mini Grants to St. James Parish teachers for the upcoming school year! Selected from a record-setting 46 applications, these dedicated educators submitted innovative ideas designed to enhance student learning from the elementary level all the way to high school.

From literacy projects like "Curiosity to Comprehension: Blending Literacy and History" to hands-on physical education initiatives like "Play Hard, Play Smart: Leveling Up 7th Grade PE with Indoor & Outdoor Fun," our teachers continue to find creative ways to inspire and engage students every day.

We are so proud of the passion and dedication our SJPS teachers bring to the classroom. Here's to an amazing 2026-2027 school year! 📚

St. James Parish Schools Child Nutrition Department Presents its Annual Summer Food Service Program!

No registration is required for Monday-Thursday lunch! Transportation will be provided, and lunch begins at 10am at both sites: Lutcher High School and Sixth Ward Elementary School. For more information, please contact Child Nutrition at (225) 258-4561

Take Home Weekend Boxes:
Every Thursday in June, children 18 years or younger may receive a box of weekend meals after eating lunch at one of the open sites. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for a weekend box. Please register at the form found at: https://forms.gle/M4D2Rkou2Tepx3Gx6
