Today, we honored the advocacy of 4th grader Paisley Causey of Gramercy Elementary School for her speaking up against va**ng.

Last year, as a 3rd grader at Paulina Elementary, Paisley visited the Louisiana legislative session where she spoke to the Louisiana Congress on the adverse effects on va**ng and its affects on youth throughout the local communities.

Today Senator Ken Brass presented Paisley and her family with a copy of ACT 920. After the presentation Mattie Hawkins, MS the Regional Manager for South Central Louisiana for Tobacco-Free Living spoke to students about the dangers of va**ng and how to stand up to those who are va**ng to let them know of the dangers.

Thank you to Representative Brass, Ms. Hawkins, and Paisley for standing up for an important cause and advocating for the health of our local youth!
