Hi, I’m Makayla, owner of Little Fireflies Academy!

I am a wife, mother of four amazing children, and someone who has always had a passion for caring for and helping children grow. My husband and I have been together for 7 wonderful years, and family is at the heart of everything I do.

As a mom myself, I understand how important it is to find a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for your child. My goal is to provide a home-away-from-home where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn each day.

I love spending time with my family, traveling, making memories, and exploring new places. These experiences have taught me the importance of curiosity, creativity, and learning through everyday adventures—values I strive to bring into Little Fireflies Academy.

At Little Fireflies Academy, I focus on creating a fun, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, build confidence, and develop important life skills. Through hands-on activities, crafts, reading, outdoor play, and educational experiences, I aim to help each child reach their full potential while feeling loved and encouraged.

Just like that….my last class at Mrs. Rogers’ Neighborhood phase into the next chapter. I am beyond proud, overwhelmingly grateful, and somewhat emotionally unstable lol. I have the best kids in the county, all wrapped up in spider man paper with an oversized princess bow. To the first day of summer down….its gunna be the best summer yet! Congratulations to my class for getting through their first year of school, I can’t wait to see what bright futures you have ahead!

If you are looking for childcare…I don’t have any spots open. But I know someone who does! I know the lady that owns it, in fact she was my first client! And I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring, nurturing environment.
