Attention all upcoming 6th - 8th grade LMS girls: You are invited to our
off-season summer volleyball open gyms. See below for dates and times
for the month of June:
June 10 - 10:00-11:30am
June 12 - 10:00-11:30am
June 16 - 10:00-11:30am
June 18 - 10:00-11:30am

June 21 - July 5 is the VHSL Summer dead period. No open gyms are allowed during this time.
July open gym schedule will be posted later in this month.

All open gyms will take place at Luray Middle School Gym. Please bring a water bottle.
We hope to see you there!

Today Luray Middle School held its annual 8th Grade Luau. This event celebrates our 8th graders at LMS as they prepare to transition to Luray High School. Students enjoyed inflatables, games, music, and lots of delicious snacks (including a visit from the Smiles for Miles Ice Cream Truck) as they made memories with their classmates. Many thanks to our parents who provided refreshments and helped LMS staff chaperone this event. It was a wonderful afternoon! 🌺😎🌺

Hey LMS Families. A few quick updates as we approach the last week of school.

Monday will be our attendance breakfast. Students who have a 95% or higher attendance rate for the 4th quarter will enjoy a homemade breakfast provided by Rileyville Baptist Church. Please report to your homerooms on Monday morning for more directions.

Our 8th Grade end-of-year slideshow will be held on June 4 at 9:00 a.m. in the auditorium. Parents are invited to attend. Additionally, any 8th grade parents who would still like to submit pictures please email them to by 3:00 p.m. on June 2.

Wednesday and Thursday will have 12:30 p.m. releases next week.

June 4th will be our last day of school. Information will be posted on Facebook regarding our end-of-year celebration that will take place that day.

Information for parents of 8th grade students at Luray Middle School … Please share!

On Thursday, June 4th, Luray Middle School will present our annual End of the Year Slideshow. This slideshow chronicles many of the events and achievements of the school year, but we also take the time to highlight our 8th grade students as they prepare to leave the LMS nest. We like to include baby pictures of our 8th grade students so we can show just how much they have changed. If you would like to have baby pictures of your student included, please send them digitally to [email protected] by Friday, May 29th. When sending pictures, please keep the following things in mind:

· Make sure your student’s first and last names are in the subject line of the email.
· We can only accept a maximum of 4 pictures per student.
· Each picture must be only of the student.

Occasionally, parents have pictures from sports and field trips with multiple LMS students when they were younger. If you would like to submit these as well (these would not be counted in the maximum of 4 individual pictures), we can include these in the slideshow as well if all the students pictured are LMS students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Cathleen Grady in the library at LMS.
