Hey everyone!! Here’s a clip of Ethan and I jamming out to the song Cinnamon Girl by Type O Negative, originally recorded by Neil Young! It is a cover of a cover, if you will!! Ethan and I had so much fun on this track, and I really couldn’t be prouder of him!! He’s been taking lessons at the school for years, I even remember when his legs couldn’t reach the floor while he was sitting down!!!! He’s grown into an intelligent musician, a great guitar player and fine young man! Apart from rocking out, we still put time into reading sheet music and studying music theory as well! He’s always putting effort into the guitar, and it certainly shows! Go Ethan!! I hope you’re all having a good week out there so far!!

Hey everyone! Here’s a clip of Vanessa and I rocking out to the song Head in the Ceiling Fan by the band Title Fight!! Vanessa has been doing so well on the guitar this year, and her new PRS Guitars guitar is so sick!!! We have been covering a lot of ground in our music theory studies, as well as in getting into a wide array of different genres, like shoegaze, pop punk, metalcore and screamo! I love this track, as well as her enthusiasm she puts into the guitar each week! I couldn’t be prouder with her progress! Go Vanessa!!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend out there!!!

New rocker alert!!!! Here’s a clip of Xander and me rocking out to the song Go With The Flow by Queens of The Stone Age! Xander has been taking lessons at the school for a few months, and has made huge strides on the guitar in that time! As a pianist, he took to reading sheet music super quick, and his rocker side is always choosing bangers like this song! He’s a true multi instrumentalist now, on two of the coolest instruments, no less! I couldn’t be prouder of his progress so far, and can’t wait to hear what we get into next! Go Xander!! Hey everyone on Facebook! Here are some photos highlighting the school’s 2026 Summer Recital that happened a few weeks ago! I couldn’t have been more grateful for the turn out we had, and couldn’t be prouder of all my students who went up there and crushed it!! I work really hard on setting these recitals up during the year, so when I see the huge turnout and support from everyone who is involved with the school, it really touches my heart! This was our largest recital to date by far! People were having so much fun, snacks were plentiful, the weather was beautiful, it really was a wonderful experience for everyone involved!! Special thanks to everyone who donated snacks, Laura Radecki for setting up the awesome snack table displays, and of course Rosanne at St. Paul’s for always allowing us to host these events there!! I’m truly am so grateful to be able to spread the joy of music to so many different people in the community, and now I can’t wait for the winter recital this December!! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your summer, rock on!!!

Lucas is always picking awesome songs to go over in class together, and over the past couple of years, I’ve had the privilege in watching him grow into an awesome musician and guitar player! Hey everyone! Here’s a clip of Payton and me jamming out to the song Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer! A 90’s jam through and through, I love it! Payton has been taking lessons here for a couple of years, and in that time we’ve covered wide variety of fun pop songs, this one included! She’s super diligent in her book studies, and always is inquisitive when it comes to understanding music concepts! She is a multi instrumentalist, playing brass instruments as well as the clarinet in her school band! She rips on the guitar now as welll!!! Go Payton! Hey everyone! 300th post, let’s go!!! Here are some videos and photos highlighting the school’s 2026 Summer Recital that happened a few weeks ago! Hey everyone!! Here’s another clip of Ethan and me jamming out to the song The End of Our Rope Is a Noose by the band Cave In! I absolutely adore this band, the riffs on this record are so awesome! This song was long and involved, but Ethan did such a great job on memorizing the parts and getting it sorted in class with me!! He’s an awesome young man, a great musician, and truly has a passion for the guitar, which makes our lessons so much fun together! He’s also become quite good at reading sheet music over the years with me, something I always try to reinforce with my younger students to help them be well rounded! I really couldn’t be prouder of him!! Go Ethan!! I hope you all are having a great week out there!!
