This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Melissa, our wonderful Intermediate School Kitchen Manager!

Melissa takes great pride in her work and has a big heart when it comes to our students. She loves the energy and kindness that comes from her job as Kitchen Manager and enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of the students she serves. 😊

Melissa believes that every student deserves to be treated with kindness and works hard to make sure they receive a nutritious meal each day. Her caring heart, dedication, and commitment to the students truly make a difference! 🩵

Many of our campuses offer a variety of pizza options throughout the week as a second entrée choice, giving students the opportunity to choose a meal they’re excited about while still enjoying a complete, reimbursable school meal.

Our students enjoyed a variety of peachy treats, including:
🍑 Peach applesauce
🍑 Homemade peach crisp
🍑 Whole peaches
🍑 Sliced peaches with whipped topping & sprinkles
🍑 And more!

We love finding fun and delicious ways to celebrate fresh fruit and give our students something to look forward to in the cafeteria! 🥰🍑

✨ September 18 – National Rice Krispie Treat Day!
Every reimbursable meal will receive a FREE mini Rice Krispie Treat! 🎉💙

🍚 September 22 – National Fried Rice Day!
Get ready for a delicious celebration featuring one of our favorite rice dishes at Intermediate, Middle School, and High School!

🍎 September 25 – Johnny Appleseed’s Birthday!
Our EC and Primary Kitchens are celebrating in a fun (and delicious!) way with apples several different ways! 🍏🍎

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Courtney, our new Primary School Kitchen Manager! We’re excited to welcome her into this new role and to have her as part of our Lumberton ISD Child Nutrition family! 💕

Courtney brings such a positive attitude and wonderful energy to her kitchen each day. She takes pride in her work and truly cares about the students she serves. Her goal is to make sure our students start their day off right with a great meal and a friendly face! 😊

Courtney understands that a smile, a kind word, and a nutritious meal can make a big difference in a student’s day. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things she will accomplish!

Getting back into the swing of things has been busy, but there is one thing that has made it all worth it, seeing our students again! 🥰

And what’s even better? Getting to surprise some of them with a LUCKY TRAY! 🍀🎉 There’s nothing quite like the excitement when a student realizes they’re one of our lucky winners!

Congratulations to all of our lucky tray winners! 🥳 We hope you enjoyed your special surprise!
