🚌💜 BUS TRANSPORTATION UPDATE 💙🚌

Bobcat Families,

We know that several of our new students are still waiting to receive their bus assignments, and we understand how important this information is for your family.

At this time, we are waiting for the Transportation Department to update and provide us with the most current bus lists. As soon as we receive those updates, an SGES staff member will contact families directly with their child’s:

⏰ Pick-Up & Drop-Off Times

Please know that this process may take up to 10 days to complete as Transportation works to finalize routes and add new students at the beginning of the school year.

There is no need to contact the school repeatedly for an update-if we have not contacted you yet, it simply means we are still waiting for your child’s transportation information. As soon as we receive it, we will reach out to you!

We truly appreciate the patience, understanding, and flexibility of our Bobcat Families as everyone works together to get the new school year off to a great start. 💜💙

Sandy Grove Elementary Families,

Due to morning traffic congestion and to ensure the safety of all families, students, staff, and our members of law enforcement, please note the following:

1. If you are coming from Davis Bridge, please do not get into the turning lane to enter the school for morning drop off or for afternoon pick up.

2. If you are coming from Golf Course Road down Arabia Road, please turn right at the stop sign onto Old Wire Road.

We will operate morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up traffic the same each day for the remainder of the school year.

🚀🌅 Not your typical morning view at Sandy Grove! 🐾💜🩵

One of our bus drivers captured this incredible sight early this morning before beginning her route to pick up our Bobcats! 🚌

That amazing sight lighting up the morning sky is from a SpaceX launch out of Cape Canaveral, Florida! 🚀✨ Mrs. Locklear just happened to be in the perfect place at the perfect time to capture this awesome view over SGES as another school day was beginning.

While many of us were still getting ready for the day, our bus drivers were already up and on the move, preparing to safely pick up our students and bring them to school.

💜🐾 WHAT A GREAT FIRST DAY, BOBCATS! 🐾💙

A huge THANK YOU to our students, families, staff, bus drivers, and everyone who helped make our first day back such a wonderful one! We loved seeing our Bobcats back in the building and are excited for an amazing school year ahead! 💜💙

As we continue through our first week, here are a couple of important reminders to help our mornings and afternoons run as smoothly and safely as possible:

🚗 CAR RIDER REMINDER
Students and parents should remain in their vehicles until 7:15 AM. If you arrive before 7:15, we ask that you please patiently wait in your vehicle. Beginning at 7:15 AM, students may be dropped off and enter the building.

🚌 BUS RIDER REMINDER
Please continue to be patient with bus pick-up and drop-off times during these first few days. Times may be a little earlier or later than expected as our drivers and students become familiar with their routes and routines. Things will become more consistent as we move through the week!

💜🩵 WELCOME BACK, BOBCATS! 🩵💜

Tomorrow is the day! 🎉📚✏️ We are SO excited to welcome our students back to Sandy Grove Elementary for the first day of a brand-new school year!

A new year means new beginnings, new friendships, new adventures, and so many opportunities to learn, grow, and shine! 🌟

To all of our Bobcats—walk through those doors tomorrow knowing that your teachers and SGES staff are ready to cheer you on every step of the way. We can't wait to see your smiling faces and make this an AMAZING year together! 🐾

Get those backpacks ready, pick out those first-day outfits, and get a good night's sleep… the 2026–2027 school year starts TOMORROW! 🎒🍎✨

⏰ A Few First-Day Reminders for Families:

🚗 Car Riders: Please remember that students should arrive no earlier than 7:15 AM and no later than 7:40 AM.

💋🚗 Our morning drop-off lane is a “Kiss & Go” lane! To help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently, morning drop-off operates as ONE lane on the inside of the cones. Please have your Bobcat ready to exit the vehicle when you reach the drop-off area so we can keep the line moving smoothly.

👋 SGES staff members will be outside directing traffic and helping students safely exit vehicles and make their way into the building. Please be alert, watch for our staff members, and follow their directions as you move through the drop-off lane. Your patience and attention help us keep everyone safe while getting our Bobcats into the building and ready for a great day! 💜🩵

🚶‍♀️ Walking Your Student to Class? If you plan to park and walk your student into the building, you MUST PARK IN THE LOWER PARKING LOT. Please do not park or leave your vehicle in the car rider/drop-off lane. This will help us keep traffic flowing safely and smoothly during morning arrival.

🚌 Bus Riders: We appreciate your patience during the first few days of school! Bus pick-up/drop-off times may vary slightly as drivers and students settle into their new routes and routines. Please allow a little extra flexibility as we get the school year underway. 💜

We know the first few mornings can be busy as everyone gets back into the routine, and we truly appreciate our families working with us to make arrival safe, smooth, and successful for all of our Bobcats! 🐾
