🎃🐾 WE NEED YOU, BOBCAT FAMILIES! 🐾🎃

Our Fall Festival is coming up on October 29th from 5:00–7:00 PM, and we’re getting ready for an evening full of fall fun and memories! 🍂👻🍬

But we can’t make it happen without the help of our amazing families! 💙💜

We are looking for volunteers of all sorts to help us bring this event to life. Whether you’d like to lend a hand, participate in Trunk-or-Treat, donate, or help in another way, we would LOVE to have you join us!

A heartfelt thank you to Commissioner Harry Southerland for his generous contribution to Sandy Grove Elementary’s Culture Crew to help launch our Woot! Woot! Wagon! This wagon will make its rounds bringing a little sunshine, encouragement, and appreciation to our hardworking staff. 🎉

Commissioner Southerland, thank you for supporting our efforts to recruit, retain, and uplift our teachers. Your generosity helps us celebrate the people who make Sandy Grove a special place to learn and grow!

📅 Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on Monday, October 19th, from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM!

This will be a NO SCHOOL day for students. Teachers will be sending home more information soon about how to sign up for a conference time.

Don’t forget—the First in Math Love Math Challenge is still going! Students can play 300+ FREE math games through October 15th and help Sandy Grove compete against schools across Hoke County! 🏆🧮

🌎🎉 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at SGES! 🎉🌎
Just a little clarification as we kick off our Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week! 💃🎶
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 through October 15. Schools and organizations may choose different days or weeks within that time to hold their own special celebrations.
Here at Sandy Grove Elementary, we chose October 5–9 as our week to come together and celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture with our Bobcats! 🐾❤️ Our Spirit Week is just one of the ways we are recognizing this month and giving our students an opportunity to learn, participate, and celebrate together.
We’re excited for a fun week ahead and hope all of our Bobcats will join in! 🎊

Bobcats, it’s time to come together and support families in our community! 🐾 Throughout October 1–30, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items—because every can, box, and donation can make a BIG difference! 🥫🥣💙
But there’s a little extra fun involved! 👀 Each grade level will work together to unlock special incentives as their donations grow:

🐾 100 items: Hat Day 🧢
🐾 200 items: Sports Day 🏀🏈
🐾 300 items: Teacher-Student Swap Day 👩‍🏫🎒
🐾 400 items: Extra Recess 🛝
🐾 500 items: Game Party 🎲

🏆 AND there’s one more challenge! The grade level that collects the MOST items by October 30th will earn a special BOBCAT BASH! 🎉🐾💜💙

Send those non-perishable donations in and help your grade level climb the chart! Most importantly, every item collected will help support families right here in our community. 💙

Let’s show everyone what happens when Bobcat Country comes together! 🐾💜💙

🎉🌎 Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week Starts TOMORROW! 🌎🎉

We apologize for the short notice, but we didn’t want our Sandy Grove families to miss out on the fun! 💜💙 This week, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a special Spirit Week — October 5–9! 🎊

Each day gives our Bobcats a fun and simple way to celebrate Hispanic cultures, friendship, music, and school community. Most of our spirit days can be done with things you already have at home, so no need to go out and buy anything! 😊

📌 Tomorrow (Monday): ¡Brillamos Juntos! — We Shine Brighter Together! ☀️
Students can wear bright, cheerful colors to help us kick off the week!
