I started this group a few years ago when Denise started school online. Unfortunately, while dealing with some family health issues, the group never really “took off”.

With the recent increase of more parents opting for alternative options from traditional brick & mortar schools, I think now is the time to try again!

I am also the community events coordinator for SCCA; however, this group is not affiliated with SCCA. This group welcomes both online & homeschool families in Kershaw County for the purpose of socialization. Open to any child not enrolled in traditional B&M schools. Anyone interested, please click follow on the page! And SHARE! If we can generate enough interest, the goal would be to have at least 1 event per month.

*Students under 13 MUST have a parent in attendance for the entire event, unless prior arrangements have been made. However, we do aim to accommodate for working parents.

Due to some emergency family matters, this group has not received the much deserved attention it requires. We are ready to hit the ground running with our next social “hang-out” event! Check back soon for event details! And as always, we are happy to take suggestions for preferred venues!

Also, we are contemplating a weekly afternoon “coffee social hour” @ a local coffee shop in Kershaw County for kids 13+ to meet up & make new friends. Please comment below if your teens would be interested!
