Today was our 5th graders’ turn to compete in robotics, and the competition was incredibly close!

Presleigh Casey, Gavino Recendiz, and Kenzie Vestal earned 2nd place in the Arena Challenge — finishing just 5 points behind 1st place! Gianni Hinojosa, Mason Simon, and Hayden Stroud brought home 1st place in the Captain’s Challenge.

Every team successfully completed tasks and scored points throughout the day, making it a win all around. We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work, teamwork, and determination!

Today was a very successful competition day for 6th and 7th grade robotics! The team of Liam Hanks, Jeffery Quintanilla, and Ayden Leech-2nd place in the arena challenge; Hinlea Wright and Daniela Diaz-1st place in the captain's challenge; Ivy Powdrill, Iliana Jackson, and Elissa Resendiz-3rd place captain's challenge. Way to go HMS Robotics!!

Our 8th grade teams had the opportunity to compete today at the Region 7 Robotics Competition in Kilgore!

Congratulations to Macy Recendiz and Melany Soriano, who received recognition for their winning mat design selected as the official competition mat. Their team also earned 2nd place out of approximately 65 teams in the arena challenge. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments!

4th grade robotics students attended the Region 7 Robotics competition in Kilgore. The goal was for every team to earn points. Even with a few technical difficulties, that goal was reached! One team even placed 3rd out of 64 teams!!
