Hudson Hornet Band

What a weekend! Our Band Leadership trip is in the books and it was a fantastic trip! From Fogo De Chao, then some beach time, to Moody Gardens and an escape room, it was a great weekend!

Thank you Hudson Band Leaders for what you have done for the program!

I am extremely proud and grateful for these leaders. They are great musicians, leaders and extremely hard workers! Now for our annual leadership trip! First stop, Fogo De Chao!

Today, Hudson Middle School Band competed in UIL Concert and Sightreading Competition at Silsbee High School. I am pleased to announce that the group received a Sweepstakes, meaning the group received Superior ratings on stage and sightreading. I can’t express how proud I am of this group. It’s a great day to be a Hornet!

Today, 20 of our High School musicians and 11 of our Middle School Musicians rehearsed and performed in the ATSSB All-Region Band Clinic & Concert.

Tonight was a FANTASTIC night full of quality music and performances. Congratulations to all those involved!

The “Last Supper” with the Hudson Band seniors! This is such a fun group! The next seniors definitely have big shoes to fill!

Earlier today, our Senior Clarinetist, Mallory Thornton, had her Performance with the ATSSB 4A All-State Band and it was absolutely phenomenal! We are so proud of her and her hard work.

Today, 8 of our musicians auditioned at the area level for a chance to earn a spot for the ATSSB All-State Band. We are incredibly proud of them and all of their hard work.

We are extremely excited to announce that Mallory Thornton placed 2nd chair out of the 32 clarinets at the area level and earned a chair in the ATSSB 4A All-State Band!!!!!

She will travel to the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in February, where she will rehearse with other all-state musicians from other schools around the state and then perform a concert on February 14 at 9:40 AM.

We are incredibly proud of her and excited for her opportunity!
