🟡🟡Introducing the Lufkin ISD CTE Spotlight! 🟡🟡
The Lufkin ISD Career & Technical Education Department believes in providing every student with a pathway, a purpose, and a future. Through Career & Technical Education, students gain the knowledge, technical skills, leadership, and real-world experiences needed to succeed—whether their next step is college, the workforce, military service, or entrepreneurship. Every student has a story worth celebrating, and every person who invests in our students helps shape that story.
Throughout the year, our Lufkin ISD CTE Spotlight will recognize the students, alumni, teachers, business and industry partners, community members, and supporters who make Career & Technical Education thrive. From leadership and service to industry certifications, competitions, work-based learning, innovation, and classroom achievements, these stories showcase the impact of CTE and the opportunities available to our students.
We are excited to launch this new series by recognizing three outstanding students who exemplify excellence in Career & Technical Education.
🟣Martin Cruz Silva and Braydon Nava represented Lufkin High School at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference, competing against nearly 6,900 students from 25 states, four countries, and one U.S. territory. Martin showcased his creativity and technical skills in Computer Modeling, while Braydon earned a 4th Place National finish in Promotional Photography and his Entrepreneurship/Small Business Industry-Based Certification.
🟣 Addyson Franklin was selected as one of only 60 students in Texas to serve as a 2026 Texas FFA Foundation Ambassador, representing Texas FFA with professionalism, leadership, and a servant’s heart.
These students represent what Lufkin ISD CTE is all about-discovering pathways, developing purpose, and building bright futures. We hope you’ll follow along as we celebrate the incredible people and accomplishments that make our CTE programs so special.
