Maroon Blooms kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week the only way we know how…. with a little contest!!!
This year our advanced students paired with a staff member of their choice to compete in our first ever Faculty Flower Frenzy!!!
It was a great opportunity to showcase our program and how much we love our teachers!!
Winners were the Petal Puff Girls: Bailey Ross, Hannah Holcomb, and Mrs. Lucas!!

Yesterday made for another year of Maroon Blooms completing in the annual HLSR Horticulture contests!
We had such a fun weekend together designing, collaborating, and competing with floral students from all across Texas at what we consider the Super Bowl of high school floral competitions!

Today was our last day with AIFD, we ended our symposium with learning leaf manipulation and creating a beautiful arrangement with those techniques. We then watch 3 more awesome stage presentations, and then we ended the day with our taco FFA party and visiting the amazing floral tribute at the Marilyn Monroe statue!!

Day 4 of AIFD
We spent the day making body flowers for the Disco in the Desert Induction Dinner
We watched some very talent designers present some pretty amazing pieces during the main stage programs
And ended up our day being inspired by our friends getting inducted into AIFD, then celebrated them at the disco!!
