Hey there, busy mamas! Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself saying "I'm so busy!" more times than you can count. 🙋‍♀️ But let me tell you, being busy all the time isn't necessarily a good thing. Without proper recovery, it can easily lead to overwhelm or burnout. So today, let's talk about the most common signs of overwhelm that so many of us experience.

As a busy mom myself, I know how easy it is to ignore the warning signs that we need to slow down and take care of ourselves. But trust me, it's crucial that we pay attention to these red flags! Here are the most common signs of overwhelm to watch out for:

🚩 Tired all the time even after a good night's sleep
🚩 Irritated even by small things that don’t normally bother you
🚩 Trouble concentrating and difficulty getting things done
🚩 Feelings of anxiety or depression
🚩 Physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, or even chest pain
🚩 Difficulty sleeping
🚩 Forgetfulness
🚩 Other common signs: buying crap from Target or Amazon you don’t need, mindlessly wasting hours scrolling social media, picking unnecessary fights with your spouse, zoning out constantly

If any of these sound familiar, it's time to take action! Here are some tips to manage overwhelm:

🎉 Prioritize self-care: Take care of yourself by eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising regularly.
🎉 Practice gratitude: Focus on the positive and find things to be thankful for.
🎉 Take breaks: Give yourself permission to take breaks throughout the day, even if it's just a few minutes to stretch or take a deep breath.
🎉 Set boundaries: Learn to say no when you need to and don't feel guilty about it. Prioritize your own needs and mental health.
🎉 Ask for help: Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or professionals for support when you need it.
🎉 Stay off of screens as much as possible.
🎉 Get outside as often as possible and touch your bare feet to the earth.

Remember, mama, it's okay to slow down and take care of yourself. By paying attention to the signs of overwhelm and taking care of yourself, you can manage stress and enjoy motherhood to the fullest. You got this! 💪
