📖📚 Read Ready Southgate! 📖📚

The City of Southgate has established an early reading initiative focused on improving Kindergarten readiness across Northern Kentucky. This focus starts with pre-natal care and continues through childcare, homecare, and preschool. The cities of Covington, Newport, Ludlow, and Bellevue currently support the program.

This is a collaborative effort with EducateNKY and will include participation with Campbell County Public Library, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, health care providers, City and school leaders, families, and community leaders.

Key points:

* Read Ready is a locally led early learning initiative.
* This is about getting more kids off to a good start.
* There’s a leadership gap in early childhood—and cities can help fill it.
* It’s not a one-size-fits-all program.
* Other River Cities are already doing this.
