The WSESD and the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee sponsored its 8th annual "Make a Difference" Awards at WSCC on Friday night, June 2.

This special event recognizes the outstanding people, agencies, and businesses throughout Lake, Mason, and Oceana County that have significantly and positively impacted the education and success of students with special needs.

Congratulations to BCS Special Education teacher Brenda Buck and Student Support Specialist Duane Roberts. They were two of the award winners who received an engraved plaque at the event!

School Safety Training - January 17

With improving school safety in mind, school leaders, mental health
experts, and law enforcement officials from Lake, Mason, and Oceana Counties are actively listening and learning from each other. The ESD is sponsoring another Behavioral Threat Assessment workshop at the West Shore Community College on Tuesday, January 17. Thank you to Amanda Unger, Assistant Director of Special Education, and the entire ESD leadership team for coordinating all of the trainings.
