Senior sunrise is this Friday at 5:45 at the football stadium. We will be in the bleachers or you can bring a chair to sit on the track. Please do not get on the field.

George County Cross Country begins the season at the Port City Classic in Gulfport on August 29. We will also host the Fox Head Trail Run at the High School on Sept. 26. Look for 20 plus teams and hundreds of athletes in attendance for our 5K. The public is invited!

FIRST DAY TIPS 📚

✏️Give yourself extra time in the morning to avoid being rushed.

✏️ Check Active Student or Active Parent to review your class schedule before arriving. Use the school map and teacher room number list in your school email to navigate your route in the building.

✏️ Look for teacher names and room numbers outside and above class doors.

✏️ Know the updated dress code.

✏️ Know the updated electronic device policy.

✏️ Know the attendance policy changes.

✏️ Smile, be positive, and give new beginnings a fair chance.

✏️ Be patient with students and adults! There are 1,100+ people navigating this day together.

✏️ Be friendly and help someone if you can. Teamwork makes the dream work!

✏️ Ask for help if you need it! Admin, teachers, counselors, and staff will be stationed in the lobbies and halls.

✏️ Listen carefully to announcements on the intercom so you don’t miss important information.

✏️ Know how you’re getting home from school tomorrow. If you’re unsure, ask your teacher or an administrator who can check your address and bus number.

Please help spread the word. There can be NO parking lot painting Wednesday from noon until Thursday after 2 pm. There is a district wide conference and the parking lot will be used.
