Families can receive weekly 7-day meal boxes for children ages 18 and under.

Substitute Teacher Positions Available

School Year 2025/2026

Substitute Teachers: Assists the teacher and cooperates in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. Promotes health, nutrition, and education of the children and attends to their safety and welfare. Observes and monitors behavior of children, interacts with staff to promote the well-being of children.

Substitute Bus Drivers: Must have CDL License

The Singing River Education, Inc. Head Start Program is accepting applications for
Head Teacher

Must have a Minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Prefer two years’ experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children, including at risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.

Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily classroom activities and adapt to the individual needs of children.
Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with families.
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Must accumulate at least 15 hours in education credits related to Early Childhood (training will be provided)

Computer literacy and familiarity with various applications such as databases, word processing, e-mail, and Internet Explorer.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Employment conditional pending immediate and continued enrollment in Child Care Division-Criminal History Registry.
Prefer Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (training will be provided)

Must have current shot record (Form 121).
Must Have current Physical including TB test.
