Huge shout out to GCSD Transportation Department for letting us borrow a school bus for the day.

LC Hatcher students spent the day learning and refreshing their bus safety knowledge.

Today kicked off the LC Hatcher School Tours of Expectations Week. The rest of the week students will tour the newly created enrichment classrooms as well as a few of the older ones. Students will learn the expectations for Art Class, Music Class, Drama Class, PE, and Library.

We are so excited about what this year holds and can’t wait get it kicked into high gear.

We are looking forward to a great start to the new year and week!

Students will need to be dropped off at their designated car rider drop off location beginning Monday morning. LCH Staff members will be ready to help students get to breakfast and class.

The first day of school is filled with hugs, laughs, smiles, some tears, and excitement- and, I’m not just talking about the parents.

Our school staff members have been working hard to get our campus ready for just this moment.

We invite our parents to walk with your child(ren) to their new room(s) tomorrow. I am sure you will find some picture worthy backgrounds to snap a pic or two. You might see some familiar faces and you might see some new faces. One way or another, we want you to feel like part of the LCH Family when you walk down our halls.

Time passes so quickly and these early years of school seem to be over and done before you realize it.

So, we invite you to enjoy this first morning of school and create lasting memories with us here at LCH.

Due to the overwhelming amount of students we have signed up for car riders for this school year, we have made a slight change to our morning and afternoon car rider procedures. We will be staggering the dismissal times.

Please be patient with us as we begin the school year with these new procedures. It is our priority to keep your children safe during car rider drop off and pick up as well as keep the wait times down to a minimum.

🚗 Morning Drop -Off 🚗

🐝 All SPED Pre-K students & all Self Contained students, and their siblings will be dropped off each morning at the South Pine Street entrance between the Cafeteria and the Kindergarten Hallway.

Please enter on the right side and exit on the left. There is only one line at this drop-off location.

🐝 ALL other students will be dropped off at the GYM on the Manila Street Entrance. Please make 2 lines.

Remember:
💛STUDENTS MUST BE DROPPED OFF BY 7:30.
💛Gates will be locked at 7:30.
💛After 7:30, parents MUST walk the student in for drop-off at the front office.

🚗 Afternoon Pick-Up 🚗

🐝 All Gen Ed Pre-k students & siblings will be picked up in front of the main school entrance. Please enter from South Pine Street and make 2 lines. Line up begins at 2:00, not before. Students will be dismissed at 2:10 for this pickup line.

🐝 All SPED Pre-k & Self Contained students and their siblings will be picked up at the same location as drop-off. Pickup will begin at 2:00.

🐝 All other students will be picked up from the GYM on the Manila Street Entrance. Please make 2 lines. This pickup will begin at 2:25.

💛STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP BY 3:00.
💛Gates will be locked at 3:00.
💛After 3:00, parents MUST come to the front office to pick students up.
