Lay Institute for Global Health Training Philippines is a supporting ministry of the SDA Church

The beginnings of the Lay Institute for Global Health Training (LIGHT) came with a desire to see more lay members around the world actively sharing the wonderful message of health and salvation. With the understanding that many will work if they are only taught how to begin, we knew the greatest need was to make short training courses available to everyone. In 2005 two experimental training progra

ms were field-tested in a Western European and a Central Asian country to see what would result. The success of these programs encouraged us to organize LIGHT to better facilitate the global expansion of medical missionary work. Through the help of various ministry leaders in Outpost Centers International, ASI, and Wildwood Lifestyle Center, LIGHT was developed. In 2008 ASI, under the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, accepted LIGHT as an official member organization.

𝗚𝗠𝗠𝗙 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟲 | 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The GMMF Batch 6 trainees are now serving through their Weekend Deployment, assigned to local churches where they spend their weekends serving both in the church and in the community.

Through this experience, they are learning to put their training into action—serving others, sharing the Gospel, supporting local church ministries, and reaching people in the community with the love of Christ.

🙏 Pray for our GMMF Batch 6 trainees as they continue to grow in faith, develop practical skills, and serve wherever God leads them.

𝘽𝙍𝘽, 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙄𝙉 𝙅𝙀𝙎𝙐𝙎. 🤍

Sometimes, the hardest thing about the Sabbath is believing that you’re actually allowed to stop.

Stop working. Stop fixing everything. Stop carrying everyone. Stop worrying about what tomorrow will demand from you.

Because we live in a world that constantly tells us to keep going—to do more, achieve more, provide more, and prove our worth.

But the Sabbath tells us something different: You can stop. You can breathe. You can rest.

𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙃𝙞𝙨.
𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢, 𝙃𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩.
𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬, 𝙃𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.

The Sabbath isn't a reward for surviving a perfect week. It's God's gift to weary people.

So today, put down the things you were never meant to carry alone. Let go of the pressure to have everything figured out. Let God be God while you simply rest as His beloved child.

You don't have to earn His love. You already have it.

So, BRB...
I'm resting in Jesus. Because the world can wait. The work can wait. Tomorrow can wait.

✨ 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | 𝗚𝗠𝗠𝗙 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝟲 ✨

Week 2 has been filled with meaningful learning and spiritual growth as our trainees continue preparing for God's mission. Through the Sanctuary Class, Hydrotherapy, Farming, and Church Visitation during the Sabbath, they are being equipped to serve the physical and spiritual needs of others with Christ-centered compassion.

May every lesson learned inspire them to serve others with Christ-like love and compassion.

To God be all the glory! 🙏💙

𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗢

While the 6th batch of our Gospel Medical Missionary Farmer (GMMF) Training has completed its first week at our main campus in Palawan, another group of trainees has also reached a significant milestone in Mindanao.

Last July 12, during the third week of their training, the Essentials of Health Evangelism trainees at WHEEL-O-FARM conducted a Health Expo in Brgy. Blancia, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, sharing practical principles of health and the love of Christ with the community.

This year marks the third year of LIGHT Philippines’ partnership with WHEEL-O-FARM as one of our affiliate schools. We praise God for His continued blessings upon this collaboration.

Indeed, the medical missionary work is advancing in different regions of the Philippines, as God continues to raise laborers to bring hope, healing, and the everlasting gospel to every community.

It's the genuine smiles that make this training truly beautiful. 😊

Our first week has been filled with learning, service, fellowship, and hearts willing to be molded for God's work. Every smile reflects the joy of growing together, serving others, and answering Christ's call to become faithful gospel medical missionaries.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here's to many more weeks of learning, faith, and mission ahead!

Today marks the beginning of another exciting journey in the Gospel Medical Missionary Farmer (GMMF) Training.

We warmly welcome Batch 6 as they commit themselves to learning, growing, and preparing for a life of Christ-centered service through health ministry, agriculture, and gospel evangelism.

Please keep our trainees, instructors, and staff in your prayers as they begin this new chapter. May God grant them wisdom, strength, and a heart fully surrendered to His calling.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲: "𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆"

Yesterday, we praise God as 9 graduates successfully completed the Gospel Medical Missionary Farmer (GMMF) Training under Batch 4.

Throughout the training, these dedicated individuals were equipped in health ministry, agriculture, evangelism, and practical missionary service. Sent by faith, they embraced the challenges and opportunities of mission work, and now they return with testimonies of God's faithfulness and the lives that have been touched through their service.

We were also blessed by the message from God through Sister Cindy Jane Bolleros-Discaya, reminding us that while we are called to labor faithfully in God's work, we must also spend time resting in Christ. True strength for ministry comes from a daily relationship with Jesus, who renews, refreshes, and prepares His workers for continued service.

May this commencement not be the end of their journey, but the beginning of a greater mission as they continue to share Christ's love and serve their communities.

Congratulations to our 9 graduates! May the Lord richly bless your future ministry and keep you faithful in His service.
