I’m so excited to offer Creative Writing Camp this summer!

Writing and art were always my favorite subjects to teach when I was a classroom teacher, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach them together again.

In this camp, students will step into the role of authors as they create their own original short story from beginning to end. We’ll read and discuss children’s books throughout the week, looking at what great authors and illustrators do well, then students will apply those ideas to their own stories.

By the end of the week, each student will have a completed story they created from scratch. Families will also have the option to order a professionally printed copy of their child’s story as a keepsake!

We need just 3 more actors to make our Fairytale Theatre Camp happen next week!

If you've got a little one who loves to dress up, tell stories, or simply has a big imagination, we'd love to have them join us.

Throughout the week, campers will:
* Learn acting basics and practice their lines
* Paint and decorate our stage backdrop
* Play fun theatre games
* Bring Little Red Riding Hood to life
* Perform for friends and family on the last day of camp

Vet Camp Day 2 🩺🦔🐶

We had so much fun today! We learned all about the anatomy of a horse and created equine spine models using beads, yarn and pipe cleaners to represent vertebrae, nerve roots and the spinal cord.

Next, we took a virtual tour of the Australian zoo wildlife animal hospital. We talked about exotic vets and how they see a wide variety of creatures. Then we completed a frog dissection discussing all the different organs and systems that work together inside the frog.

Students ended the day with a fun dog sculpture project!

I already can’t wait for tomorrow!

Calling all future paleontologists ages 4–8!

Join us for Dino Detectives: Mini Paleontology Lab, a four-day science adventure where kids will dig for fossils, uncover dinosaur mysteries, create exciting projects, and discover how real paleontologists explore the past.

Each day features new hands-on activities, including fossil excavations, dinosaur science experiments, dinosaur art and habitat building.

I’m sharing a look inside next week’s Teen Drawing Studio Intensive!

This 4-day camp is designed for young artists who want to build confidence, improve their drawing skills, and spend dedicated studio time creating artwork they’re proud of.

This class is capped at just 10 students so every artist receives plenty of personal instruction. Whether your kiddo is newer to drawing or already has experience, lessons will be adjusted to help them continue growing.

Want a peek behind the scenes of Wild Explorers Outdoor Adventure Camp?

One thing that sets our camps apart is that every class is designed to be both fun and educational. The goal is for kids to have so much fun that they don’t even realize how much they’re learning.

Since July in Texas is HOT, we’re bringing the outdoors inside with hands-on nature lessons, creative projects, movement activities, and outdoor skills.

The graphic shows some of our highlight projects for each day, but we’ll be doing so much more throughout the week!

A few spots are still available in our Teen Drawing Studio Intensive starting tomorrow!

This small-group camp is perfect for young artists who want to improve their drawing skills, build confidence, and receive personalized instruction in a supportive studio environment.

We'll explore:
Shading and blending
Perspective and proportion
Light, shadow, and texture
Observational drawing

A note about ages: This camp was originally listed for ages 13–17, but I've had several parents of talented 11 and 12-year-olds reach out. Because enrollment is capped at just 10 students and our current group is on the younger side, I'm happy to welcome advanced younger artists (ages 10-12) who are ready for a more focused drawing experience.
