From the Rawls College to Charles Schwab, Adam Greenwald’s internship experience shows what can happen when students take advantage of opportunities to connect, network, and step outside their comfort zones.

For Rawls College students looking for their next opportunity, it starts with putting yourself out there. Join us for the Fall 2026 the Rawls College Career Fair and connect directly with employers seeking students for internships and full-time positions.

An internship can do more than build a résumé - it can help define what comes next.

For Rawls College energy commerce student Storm Shepherd, a summer internship with ExxonMobil's Surface Land Team provided the opportunity to take on meaningful projects, work alongside industry professionals, and gain firsthand experience in the land side of the energy industry.

From evaluating more than 127,000 acres of company-owned property to supporting projects across multiple states, Shepherd saw how the skills and knowledge he gained from his classes at the Rawls College translated directly into the workplace. The experience ultimately confirmed the career path he hopes to pursue after graduation.

Read more about Shepherd's internship experience, the lessons he learned, and his advice for students preparing to pursue opportunities of their own in the comments.

It’s never too late to bet on yourself.

After navigating some of life’s biggest challenges, Anju Shori decided at 42 that it was time to pursue a goal she had carried with her for years: earning her MBA. Through the Rawls College Professional MBA program, she balanced a full-time career with her education, expanded her skills in AI and data science, and opened the door to a new professional opportunity before even crossing the graduation stage.

Now a 2026 graduate, Shori’s journey is a reminder that growth doesn’t have a deadline, and sometimes the next chapter begins by choosing to invest in yourself.

Read more about Shori's journey and her experience in the Rawls College PMBA program.
