Congratulations to our LCHS Seniors in our CTE programs who are continuing their education in a related program after graduation. These students have committed extensive time in high school to explore their interests, explore careers, refine their skills, and obtain certifications that prepare them for the next step in their educational journey or into a career. Our Adulting Class experienced an unforgettable Wellness Workshop thanks to the generosity of Texas Tech, Tech Theater, Lubbock Health Department, and Genuine Hope.

Students explored: 🧘 Mindfulness & breathing techniques 💆 Therapeutic massage 🌱 Essential oils for natural wellness 📝 Reflective writing & relaxation 🔍 Body awareness & emotional intelligence.

Real talk: Taking care of your mind, body, and emotions is adulting at its finest. 💙

The 2026 Senior Celebration of Excellence was a wonderful gathering of supportive family and friends! Congratulations to our top 10 students, and our Mr. and Miss LCHS.

The inaugural Emily Winton Memorial Scholarship Powder Puff Football Championship will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at Pirate Stadium at First United Park! Featuring the winning Powder Puff teams from Lubbock-Cooper HS and Liberty HS, this event is a celebration of our community, uniting our entire LCP family for a special cause!

All proceeds will benefit the Emily Winton Memorial Scholarship fund, providing support to graduating Pirate and Patriot seniors whose lives have been personally touched by cancer.

The evening promises to be a showcase of cross-district collaboration in addition to a fantastic football game, featuring a special joint spirit performance by students from both schools and a full concession stand. Guests should enter through the southwest gate of Pirate Stadium and sit on the home side.

LCISD Powder Puff Championship

LCHS Student Council and National Honor Society students participated in the annual Highway and Campus Cleanup Day which took place on Earth Day this year during National Student Leadership Week. Thank you, Pirates, for helping to take care of our environment!

LCHS students competed and placed in the UIL Science events at Texas Tech in March. Kennedy Campeau, Ella Murman, Amber Howe, Ritodoy Bhattacharya, Izeyah Glavan, and Amber Son received their medals this morning!
