Students in Fashion Design at Coronado High School put their creativity on display!
After watching a snippet of the Kentucky Derby & studying the bold fashion trends and statement hats, students designed and created their own unique hats. Students were able to explore personality in design while learning about balance, color, texture, and lines.

Today was a SPECIAL and IMPACTFUL day. This is what education is all about!!

Lubbock ISD was recognized as the NATIONAL site for this year’s SkillUSA trades signing day. Thanks to partners from the Lowe's Home Improvement Foundation and SkillsUSA, six Lubbock ISD CTE students who are pursuing a full-time career in the skilled trades (construction, electrical, and plumbing) were recognized and celebrated.

The event was filled with touching speeches, valued partnerships, and enthusiastic students and educators who are truly making a positive impact on our future workforce. Today is what it is all about. We all felt it! 🎓🛠️🪛🔌🪠

Did someone say 100%?!

You got that right!

100% of our Pharmacy Technician students who took the national PTCB certification exam PASSED!! It’s incredible. For context, the national pass rate is only 70%, and the average pass rate for high school students is 65%. Lubbock ISD knocked it out of the park with 100%!!!

Congratulations to Mr. Rojo and all his students on this outstanding accomplishment.

What an amazing day! 🍕👏 Today we hosted our 3rd Annual Lubbock ISD Culinary Pizza Competition, and it did not disappoint. YUM!

A huge thank you to our incredible guest judges —Superintendent Rollo, Chef Gooch, and our favorite 2nd grader + industry judges from Orlando's Italian Restaurant and One Guy From Italy's for lending their expertise (and taste buds)!

The top pizza team from each campus battled it out in a delicious showdown of creativity, flavor, and presentation.
