Today our Next Level 13 National team begins competition at Nationals in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

We are incredibly proud of these athletes and coaches for earning the opportunity to represent not only Next Level Volleyball Club, but also our entire region on one of the biggest stages in youth volleyball.

This team has put in countless hours of training, shown tremendous growth throughout the season, and competed with heart every step of the way. No matter what happens this week, they have already made our club proud.

🏐 LEGACY 🏐

Today our Next Level 17 National team had the opportunity to be challenged by those who came before. Former NLVC athletes returned to the gym to help prepare our team for Nationals, and what an incredible day it was.

This is what legacy looks like.

Representing programs from Abilene Christian, New Mexico State, Texas Woman’s University, Prairie View A&M, Edward Waters University, and East Texas Baptist University, these former Next Level athletes came back to invest in the next generation. A collective group of D1, D2, and D3 athletes—but even more importantly, outstanding humans.

The workout was intense, competitive, and exactly what our team needed. Afterward, our current players had the chance to sit down for a Q&A session, learning from the experiences, challenges, and successes of those who once stood in their shoes.

We are grateful for these young athletes who continue to pour into our program and prove that Next Level is more than volleyball—it’s a family.

Once a Next Level athlete, always a Next Level athlete. ❤️💙

🏐NEXT LEVEL VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT PROCESS🏐

Every Athlete Has a Place at Next Level

At Next Level, we do not make cuts. Every athlete who attends tryouts will be placed on a team.

STEP 1: TRYOUTS

July 28th

Athletes will participate in:

Skill evaluations
Position-specific training
Competitive drills
6 vs. 6 game play

This portion of the process is designed to evaluate each athlete’s current skill level, athletic ability, and team play.

STEP 2: TEAM PLACEMENT EMAILS

July 29th

Families will receive one of the following:

🔹 Gray Team Placement

Athlete has been placed on a Gray Team.
No further evaluation is required.

🔹 Call Back Invitation

Athlete is being invited back for an additional evaluation.
Call Backs are for athletes being considered for our Royal and Red Teams.

STEP 3: CALL BACKS

August 2nd (or your callback date)

Call Backs will consist primarily of:

6 vs. 6 competition
Game-like situations
Team play evaluation

This allows coaches to evaluate athletes in extended competitive situations before finalizing Royal and Red Team rosters.

STEP 4: FINAL TEAM PLACEMENTS

August 3rd

Call Back athletes will receive an email with their final placement on either:

Royal Team
Red Team

IMPORTANT

✅ Every athlete who attends tryouts will be placed on a team.

✅ Call Backs are not a second tryout. They are an additional evaluation for athletes being considered for our Royal and Red Teams.

✅ Team placements are determined by a combination of skill evaluations, positional needs, athletic potential, and team fit.

After closely monitoring the weather, we have decided to delay today’s NLVC Beach Bid Qualifier start time until 10:00 AM.

The current forecast shows the storm moving through this morning, and we believe conditions will be great for competition once it passes. Our top priority is providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all athletes, families, and spectators.

✅ Registration will begin at 10:00 AM.
✅ All age divisions will still compete today.
✅ We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates if needed.

What a fantastic week of learning, laughter, new friendships, and volleyball! We loved watching these young athletes grow in confidence, develop new skills, and fall even more in love with the game.

A huge thank you to all of our campers, parents, and coaches who made this week so special. Your energy, enthusiasm, and hard work are what make the Next Level family so great!

From first-time touches to incredible improvement throughout the week, we are proud of every athlete who stepped on the court and gave their best effort.

Looking to improve your game before school volleyball season starts? Join us at Next Level Volleyball’s 7th–9th Grade Summer Camp!

Whether you’re brand new to volleyball or already have years of experience, this camp is designed to help athletes build confidence, sharpen fundamentals, and gain valuable reps in a fun, competitive environment.

✅ Great preparation for school tryouts and summer competition
