Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Incorporated, was founded on January 25th, 1993 on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. As sorors, we vow to uphold our pillars which are: Honesty, Integrity, Scholarship, Leadership, and Unity. On the blessed evening of October 29, 1999, thirteen strong, dedicated women at Texas Tech University had the same vision as our founding mothers'. They dre
amed to create a sisterhood that would provide support and encouragement for Latina women and other women of color in higher education. Through community service, we learn the importance of giving back to our communities and encouraging young people of color, particularly Latina women, to strive for a college education and enhance their academic endeavors.
