SPC- Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing Program

This morning our very own Kristie Cole was voted onto the AST National Board! Congratulations Kristie, your dedication and hard work is inspiring!

SPC Surgical Technology is in Seattle, Washington representing the Texas State Assembly of AST and South Plains College!

We are extremely proud and excited to announce that the 9 month class of 2026 had a 100% pass rate on their national boards!

Congratulations class, you did amazing!

Our faculty were honored tonight also!

Congratulations to Paul Landsman, CST for receiving his 15-year pin teaching at South Plains College.

​Congratulations also to Zach Pauda, CST for receiving his 5-year pin and being awarded tenure!

This afternoon we also celebrated the accomplishments of our first nine month program! This group worked very hard and did an outstanding job!

Last night in Levelland, we we celebrated Sarah Garcia (Surgical Technology) and Makynzie Mendoza (Sterile Processing) as they received their Outstanding Student Awards.

These students have worked extremely hard and today, they sat for their national boards exams.

Our very own Kristie Hulsey Cole showed George Strait a demonstration of an exploratory surgery. He said he may consider a career change.
