Tech Terry Scholars

The first group of Terry Scholars arrived on campus in the Fall of 2011. The scholarship is funded through the Terry Foundation out of Houston. Please join us.

Although the foundation and the university have been preparing for their arrival for several years. Their arrival on campus was a tremendous addition to the University. The inaugural class of Tech Terry's consisted of the original group of 16 freshmen, plus two transfers from other schools. Since then the Terry Scholarship at Texas Tech has almost doubled every year. In 2012, we added 20 scholars

and then in 2013 there were 32 freshmen and 24 transfer scholars added to our number. Currently, we are gearing up to welcome 32 new freshmen and and untold number of transfer scholars. Scholars are also organizing a Relay for Life team. Our last Leadership Speaker Series for the year, will be May 1. We are thrilled to be growing and excited to see what the future hold for each of us as we learn and grow together at Texas Tech University.

We were so excited to meet all of the new Terrys and get them introduced to some of our amazing Terry Foundation , faculty and staff‼️ As well, it was awesome to see our older scholars come back from amazing study abroad & internship opportunities. 🤩
