SCS Athletics - A Legacy of Athletic Excellence, Christ-Centered Values and Character:

👉13 TAPPS 2A TAPPS State Championships in the past 14 years: Cross Country (7), Basketball (4), Golf (2).
👉85 plus athletic banners over the past 14 years.
👉Multiple TAPPS District, Area, and Regional Championships.
👉Multiple athletes win individual TAPPS State Championships in Track & Field and Tennis.
👉Multiple TAPPS All District, All Region, and All State Athletes in different sports as well as multiple All State Academic performers.
👉SCS JH teams have won 15 WTCAA (West Texas Christian Athletic Association) Championships in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field.

Our athletic program is about more than trophies and championships — it's about developing young men and women of character, discipline, and faith. Through hard work, teamwork, and a commitment to honoring God in all they do, our student-athletes continue to achieve success both on and off the field. Our SCS Warriors are participating in a basketball summer series. Come catch them tonight at Frenship's Memorial PE Gym at 8 pm!

We were missing a few of our great coaches today, but SCS Athletics is already prepping for this fall. In the meantime, they are offering some great summer sports camps for our Warriors. We are thankful for each and everyone of these coaches and our SCS Admin, Lisa Higgins, for making SCS Athletics the best it can be!

SCS Warrior Band is a vital part of SCS and our education program because it develops discipline, teamwork, creativity, and leadership while giving students an opportunity to use their God-given talents for worship and service. A strong band program enriches school culture, supports academic growth, and helps students pursue excellence in a way that honors Christ and that is exactly what our band program does at SCS.

Under the direction of Rick Driscoll, our SCS Warrior Bands (5th-12th) have been continuously recognized and have received top honors that include TAPPS State Championships, Sweepstakes, Solo / Ensemble Division 1 rankings and more.

SCS Warrior and TAPPS 2A High Jump 2026 State Champion Ethan Medrano competed in Under Armor's Nationals Track & Field in Florida. He earned 1st in his flight and came in 7th place overall (out of 17 competitors).

Ethan went up against the best of the best in the high jump and did an incredible job of representing West Texas and SCS. We are so proud of you Ethan!

SCS Warrior Ethan Medrano is participating in the Under Armour Nationals 🏆 in Florida this week!

After winning the State Championship in High Jump, Ethan earned the exciting opportunity to compete in the Under Armour Nationals in Florida on May 28th-30th.

This incredible achievement reflects his hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the season, and we could not be more proud of him. We wish you all the best this week Ethan!
