We do have on-site registration on November 1 from 9:00 - 9:30, but the cost is $20.

We strongly recommend that you utilize the pre-registration link. Once you have completed the form, you will be mailed a payment link. Your child is not cleared to play until we have a completed registration form AND your payment.

Texas Tech Chess had the opportunity to play at the Southern California Open this weekend. Members of the TTU Chess Team took the top 3 spots and tied for 4th. Congratulations to everyone at the event and thank you to the organizers for the invitation to play. A big thank you to Councilmember and Former Mayor of Glendale, CA, Elen Asatryan for presenting the awards and being so welcoming. ♟

We wanted to take a brief moment to express our most sincere gratitude to the YWCA of Lubbock. They very graciously stepped up to help us with teaching spaces for our campers during our June Chess Camp.

They are doing such important and wonderful work in the community. We urge all of our followers to check out their services and offerings.

That's a wrap! Our June Chess Chess Camp was a smashing success! Lots of fun, lots of good times, and lots of Chess with new friends. Here is a photo of our Advanced group hanging out with none other than Raider Red!

Here is our own IM Sebastian in the early stages of a hard fought win. He earned 6.5 / 9.0 to finish in 4th place at the National Open in las Vegas.

Here is our own IM Oleksii battling hard on Board #3 at the National Open in Las Vegas! He finished with 6.5 / 9.0 to finish in 5th place.

Congrats to GM Viktor for winning the 2025 National Open in Las Vegas!!
