West Student Council visited The Haven Animal Care Shelter to see the facility, spend time with the pets, and deliver a donation of $572 that they raised selling Valograms! πΎ

Our younger students love spending their Pirate Bucks at the Pirate Store just as much as our fifth-grade student council loves helping them.

Move over AGT because West's Got Talent! Our students truly shined with a diverse range of impressive abilities during the talent show!
We had a great week celebrating colleges! Students wore their favorite college shirts and jerseys, decorated school pennants, and we had a special visit from Raider Red, the Masked Rider, and LCU cheerleaders!
At the Multicultural Buddy Program, students had a fun time reading with their Texas Tech mentor!
What fun! These awesome students used their Pirate Bucks to purchase the experience of scootering and skating at school!

West students excelled in teamwork, determination, and speed at the district elementary track meet. πββοΈ We are so proud of these amazing athletes!
First grade adventures never stop! Each class chose a biome and selected animals from that habitat to research in groups. They learned so much about their animals from multiple media sources, wrote about their animal, and created a presentation to share with others.

West Student Council partnered with the Rainbow Room to prepare emergency items for children and families in crisis. β€οΈ
LCISD Seniors who attended West Elementary are invited to the West Seniors Class of 2024 Walk on May 22nd!
Third graders had a fun time buddy reading with kindergarten! It's heartwarming to see students of different levels coming together to learn and grow. π
We love our Speech Language Pathologist, Stacy Darden, and our SLP Assistant, Rhonda Frazier! Thank you for all you do to pour into our students and help them reach their potential.
