New Lubbock Mural Honors Mike Pritchard And His Work For Students With Dyslexia

A new mural at the Betty M. Condra School for Dyslexia Success is honoring the late Mike Pritchard and his lasting contribution to education in Lubbock. Pritchard was closely connected to efforts supporting students with dyslexia and families searching for instruction designed around their children’s learning needs. The artwork gives the campus a permanent visual reminder of the people who helped build and strengthen its mission. Dyslexia can affect reading, spelling and language processing, but students often make significant progress when they receive specialized teaching and early support. The Condra School has become part of Lubbock’s broader network of educational resources for families who may feel traditional methods have not fully met their children’s needs. Murals often become public landmarks, but this one also serves as an educational tribute. Students arriving at the campus will see a local story connected directly to the opportunities available inside the building.
