I love ALL games, especially tile games! Rummikub is no exception. It’s fun and easy, but still has a little strategy involved. We play this regularly on family game night and my 9 yo beats me on the regular 😂. I never keep score, but any set you buy will come with a scoring guide if you feel like bringing out your competitive side😉! You can play with as little as 2 players, but usually 4.
Quick review:
-4 different colored suits, numbered 1-13, 2 of each tile and 2 jokers total
-The number on the tile is it’s numerical value, ex: 13 = 13 points
-Each player flips over a tile, highest value gets to go first.
-Each player gets 14 tiles
-play goes clockwise 🔁
-You draw a tile from the pool on your turn unless you can put down 1 or more sets equaling a minimum of 30 points, at which point you officially enter the game!
-Sets are:
1. Group: 3 or 4 tiles of the same number but in different colors
2. Run: 3 or more consecutive numbers in the same matching color
-Once you enter the game, on your next turn, you can start adding as many tiles as you want to other sets including your own.
-Can’t add any tiles on your turn even after you’ve entered the game? Then draw a tile from the pool to hopefully use on your next turn.
- First person to get rid of the last tile on their rack wins and can yell, “Rummikub!”

2. You call a tile for an exposure🀄️

If you call to start your turn…just remember…you have to be able to call and complete your exposure on your own BEFORE doing any joker exchanges.
