What is the Bambird Scramble you ask??? Let me explain: It is a way to play Mahjong on your own time, no fixed schedule. Anyone who is registered can propose a match anytime, anywhere! It’s a way to make new Mahj friends if you don’t have a regular crew or add a little competition to your Mahj Squad game nights😉! You can look at the proposed matches and join one or propose your own match whenever, wherever.
👏All levels welcome! When you register, you sign up as a beginner (B), Intermediate (I) or Advanced (A) player and your level will show by your name in parentheses when you are deciding which matches to join. 🤔So don’t be intimidated! If you’ve had a lesson or two from me, you got this!🙌⚡️
The proposer is responsible for providing the set to play (tiles, racks, dice), just bring your NMJL card! NMJL rules apply (no blanks). You play 4 games = 1 match and then tally up your points and record them. The portal keeps track for you!
There are prizes at the end of the season for the highest cumulative score (only top 2 scores from each week will count) and for the highest average score (have to play a minimum of 10 matches to qualify).
The more people who sign up, the better the prizes!🤩 So grab as many Mahj friends as you can and get ready to sign up this coming Monday, August 17th! If you don’t have any Mahj friends, sign up to meet and make some of your own!
