Traditional Nursing elections is hosted next week September 7-9 since they start classes next week. We are still taking sign ups for Trad Nursing students interested in running. The TTUHSC Student Government Association invites students to sign up to run to be a senator for the open senate seats for the 2026-2027 year. SGA advocates for and represents student needs and interests. Collaborating with students, staff, faculty, student organizations, administration and the community to promote a campus climate that is open, supportive, and student centered.

If you do not see your program listed it is most likely that there are not open senate seats for your program. Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

Elections will take place August 31 - September 4 for all seats except Traditional Nursing senate seats. Traditional Nursing senate seat elections and any runoffs will be September 7 - 9.

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine is proud to congratulate Rachel McLelland of Tijeras, New Mexico, on her recent appointment as the next student regent on the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents.

McLelland, a student at School of Medicine, is pursuing her Doctor of Medicine degree. She earned a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and general studies from Texas Tech University in 2018, with minors in chemistry, biology and health professions. A dedicated leader and servant, McLelland has been actively involved in mentoring students, volunteering in the Lubbock community and serving in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Rachel will serve a one-year term as student regent through May 31, 2027.
